Finally My First Blog
I’ve been thinking about doing this for over a year now and finally I’ve started my own blog. The experience has been so liberating and it’s my way of connecting with visitors to my site on a more personal level. I’ve been quite busy this year and though I’ve just started I’ll be posting some of this years’ wedding photographs I took in London on my blog.

Liz and Mark’s Wedding Islington London
I took these photographs at Liz and Mark’s Wedding on 7th February 2009. I’ve finally gotten around to publishing a brief account of the day. I just thought this set of black & white photographs instantly tell a story about the day. The wedding ceremony was held at the Islington Town Hall and the reception took place just down the road at the Islington Library.
Joanne & William’s Wedding 21/03/2009
Long day for me today I was up by 6:00 but the actual wedding photography started at 10:00 am. I started doing the getting ready photos, went on the the Church on Holland Road just a few streets to get ready for the ceremony (also took photos of the guests and the groom). The reception was held at The Union Club on Greek Street in the heart of London Soho. More pictures if you click here.

Polaroids
I just bought a Polaroid Camera (polaroid 440) and have had it for almost 3 weeks now. This one was manufactured between 1971 to 1976. I’m having so much fun with it and wish I’d discovered this camera about 5 years ago (Polaroid film stocks have almost disappeared and it’s nearly impossible to get a hold of any today. I’ll be shopping for some this coming Friday. The softness of the colour and artistic qualities are truly beautiful and unique. It’s just so sad to see such an amazing artistic tool about to vanish forever. Fuji makes instant film in the 100 series which works in many medium format backs, Polaroid 600SE and Polaroid automaic cameras like the one I have.
On the Fuji the colours are accurate and the and true to life, however i do prefer the unpredictable nature of the Polaroid print and the colour cast it gives. It’s such a thrill not knowing what to expect sometimes. Photographs will be available for purchase in my online print shop soon.
Firas & Patricia’s Wedding Photographs
I just wanted to share some photographs from a wedding I photographed for Firas & Patricia. They came to London from Dubai to meet with me in London. They had the ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall and the reception at the Dorchester Hotel in London. The registrar said to me that she has never seen the Town hall so beautiful in all her years of conducting wedding ceremonies there.
On our way to the Dorchester they planned that I would photograph them in there Limousine on the way to the Dorchester so there was no need for me to use my car at the wedding.
In the Photograph on the right Patricia is seen arriving with her dad at The Old Marylebone Town Hall in Westminster
Their Videographer also came along for a ride in the Limousine too. You can see more photographs from this wedding by clciking on the photographs
Wedding In Hampstead Heath for Elizabeth & Martyn
I’ve just got up after a long day of photographing a wedding for Elizabeth and Martyn in Hamptead Heath.
Update: Well I’ve been editing working on the wedding photos and now I’ve started putting a few up for you to see. It was a very long day of shooting I started at 11:40am and finished at 8:45pm.
Another very important part of wedding photography is recording little details . Some examples of these are flowers, weddings leaflets/stationery, Jewellery for the bride and groom, shoes, dress, etc.
I try to interact with the couple occasionally just letting them know they look great and aso asking making sure they smile, just putting them at ease.
What we do as a wedding photographers is give couples a visual record of precious moments in their lives.
